$5 Certificated Course

This basic level, certificated food safety training course is suitable for lower risk registered food businesses that operate under National Programme Level 1.

Examples of National Programme Level 1 food businesses are honey extractors/packers, businesses that only sell hot drinks and manufacturer packaged shelf-stable foods, retailers of manufacturer packaged ice-creams, ice blocks and businesses that only transport food.

The certificated course is also very useful for food businesses/activities that although are exempted from registering under the Food Act 2014, need some proof of training as part of an overall good operating practice standard.

Examples of such businesses/activities are bed and breakfast providers, home based child care and clubs or societies providing food for members etc (see links below for full list of exempted activities).

If you are an activity, organisation or business that is exempt from registration under the Food Act you still have to provide food that is safe and suitable so this course should be a minimum for anyone involved in such activities, organisations or businesses.

Even if you have an exemption under the Food Act you and/or your activity, organisation or business will benefit immensely from this very cost effective certificated course.

Remember even if you are exempt from registering the law still requires that any food you sell has to be safe and suitable.

This course will help you achieve that requirement.
