The templated Food Control Plan – Food Service and Catering (FCP), is a pre-approved templated Food Control Plan produced by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and is currently one of the legally approved tools for achieving food safety in New Zealand retail food service outlets.

Note the video shows  a ‘trial’ version of the FCP and how it works.  This trial version was introduced  as part of the Voluntary Implementation Programme or VIP).  

Most new food businesses are now using the modern Simply Safe & Suitable version template which is formatted quite differently but the information in this course is still relevant in regards to general food safety principles.
